We have an indoor/outdoor heated and air conditioned Facility that is regulated at 70 degrees year round. Our inside runs have solid divider walls so they will stay clean and comfortable with the dogs in the run next to them. The dogs in our care go out to our 22'x28' gravel runs a minimum of 4 times a day for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. Our staff is on sight from 7am to 9pm, 365 days a year and the owner also lives on site.
The office is open for pickups and drop-offs Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm. The office is closed for pickups and drop-offs on Sundays and all major holidays.
The boarding fee is an all inclusive rate. Compared to some other facilities that may charge additional fees for outdoor recreation areas, kennel cleaning, medications, etc. We want the dog to be as comfortable as they can be and have all the amenities that we would want for our personal dogs. We are not going to treat any dog differently because the owner paid more money. All dogs receive the same quality of care.
Any additional feedings, medications, outdoor recreation is included free of additional cost.
The boarding fee is charged per dog, per day. So we recommend you arrange your pick up and drop-off times at your convenience.
Our 30 day boarded training program is the best solution for all of your training needs. By allowing us the time to train your dog in-house, we are able to build a solid foundation of obedience for your pup through consistency and conditioning. This makes it much easier for you to maintain at home.
Everything we do is about pack order and leadership. We work to create balance for your pup from the inside out. This is why our program can help with a variety of behavior issues; dog aggression, human aggression, fearfulness, anxiety, over-excitement, general obedience, etc.
While your pup is here, they learn how to walk on leash with a loose line and without pulling forward, even with distractions. If your dog is aggressive on leash or lunging towards dogs and people out of excitement, they will be passive to those tempting distractions.
Your pup will also learn a down command. By the time they leave our care, they will be able to down on command in a room filled with other dogs, all laying about 3 feet apart. The dogs stay down for over an hour each time. The down command is where a lot of the magic happens. There is a psychological change that occurs when a dog is in this structured position and it results in a relaxed and settled state. This is not nap time, it is complete control.
Additionally, your pup will learn to come when called off-leash and without fail. If your dog is chasing a small animal or taking off after the mailman, they will turn and immediately come to you once given the here command. When your dog comes to you, they will be respectful in your space. This means that they will not run into you, body slam you, or jump on you.
Along with the commands listed above, we also work to eliminate disrespectful behaviors. This includes not jumping up on people, mouthing, nipping and play biting. You will also go home with the tools to correct unwanted behaviors such as digging holes in the yard, rummaging through the trash, counter surfing or chewing on your belongings.
After your pup spends this time with us, we want to set you up for success. Our program includes a 3 hour pick up private lesson where our master trainer, Shannon Walker, will go through the commands that we have taught. She will be able to answer any questions you have regarding issues at home and how to incorporate the obedience into your every day lives. Your pup will be performing these skills at the end of the obedience program.
Free private lessons are available for the life of the dog to help maintain the above stated obedience. If your dog has not done the boarded training program with us, one on one private lessons are $200 per hour.
We do train with equipment for our program. A prong collar is used for the walk and a remote collar is primarily used for the here and down commands. The charges for the program are as follows:
Prong Collar: $55 plus tax (Silver), $60 plus tax (black)
Remote Collar: $240 plus tax
Training and Boarding: $150 per day for the 30 days*
*If temperament is an issue and we are unable to work with your dog on the day they arrive, a boarding rate of $60 per day would apply until we are able to begin training. Training charges will not exceed 30 days per dog.
On the day of drop off we require more than enough food for 30 days, vaccination records showing the Rabies, Bordetella, and the DHPP vaccine, as well as a $2000 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the final invoice when the dog goes home.
Please give us a call to reserve your drop off date!
It is not uncommon for us to be booked out for a few months. We do have a cancellation list to bring in dogs sooner if an opening appears. However, if you are needing to get your dog trained much sooner. The only other trainer we recommend is Chris Walker at Triple A dog training located in Rathdrum, Idaho.
